The purpose is to provide financial assistance for classroom projects developed by teachers and students in the public and private (k-12) Michigan City area school systems and to promote the education of our young people through educational projects.

Funding for this program comes from the proceeds of the Tower Run and other fund raising events sponsored by Tower a local nonprofit organization in LaPorte County.  Since the inception of the program sixteen years ago, teachers have received approximately $62,000.00 to enhance their classrooms.
