We are offering groups and organizations the
opportunity to support their activities by participating in
the Tower Run Fundraising Program. Your group or organization
has the opportunity to raise funds by recruiting participants
and providing 5 volunteers on race day. Your group or organization
will receive $5 for every person you register between May
1 and September 15, 2007. Your volunteers will receive a free
Tower Run t-shirt.
The Tower Run committee is proud
to offer teachers the opportunity to create a Service Learning
Project for their students. We have the ability to create
specific projects that will best meet the needs of your students,
but below are some suggested options.
- Participate in the Fundraising Program
and donate the money you raise to a local charity.
- Organize a cheer block.
Each cheer block will be assigned a location on the course
to encourage and congratulate the participants during the
race.
- Find a $100 or greater sponsor
- Recruit at least 10 cheer block participants
- Choose a theme to show your spirit (can
include music, costumes, cheers, etc.)
- Volunteer: Your students
can get involved with soliciting donations and/or volunteering
on race day.
